Faces of LIFE – Erin Higgins

Erin Higgins was born and raised in Colorado and is currently pursuing the M.S. in Positive Psychology Coaching Track. “I went to grad school to become a counselor because I’m passionate about helping people and working in mental health,” Higgins explained. “But the program ended up not being a good fit for me, so I dropped it and took months looking for the right fit.”

Faces of LIFE – Sophie Hose

Sophie Hose is from Hanover, Germany and is currently a student at Life U studying four different programs: she just finished her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, Master of Science in Sport Health Science and the Doctor of Chiropractic program.

Faces of LIFE – Keanya Harris

Keanya Harris is an Academic Support Coordinator in the Student Success Center at Life University. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and her family is from the South as well. Her mother is from Mobile, Alabama, and all her family is tight-knit and live in Georgia. She has had the opportunity to work at Kennesaw State University as well as Southern Polytechnic before the merge.

Faces of LIFE – Haley Turpin

Growing up in a family full of college athletes helped Life University Doctor of Chiropractic student Haley Turpin start thinking about how the human body works.

“We love sports,” Turpin said. “We’ve always had great conversations about the body and training, always having that drive to do something bigger and harder, and I’m very thankful that I had family conversations and lessons about that.”

Faces of LIFE – Dr. Nicole McCarty

Family is very important to Life University alumna Dr. Nicole McCarty. In addition to raising her toddler daughter, Dr. McCarty is a caregiver to her grandparents and her mother, who is in remission from multiple myeloma. She also runs her own practice as an integrative health doctor and wellness coach, helping people with a wide range of concerns including fitness, nutrition and stress management. Dr. McCarty’s interest in health and her experience as a teacher and coach eventually led her to LIFE.
