Joshua Lee
“Bringing Chiropractic to Hong Kong”
Student: Doctor of Chiropractic
September 2021

Joshua Lee, a student at Life University from Hong Kong, is studying to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. Originally, Lee was studying civil engineering during his undergraduate in Hong Kong.

“After I finished, I thought I would like the profession and was an engineer for two years,” Lee recalled. “I worked really hard, but I was tired of working for a boss instead of working for the people. I wanted to help others and began to wonder if I should change my profession.”

Lee did research on multiple healthcare professions to try and decide what to do next. In the meantime, both of his sisters have scoliosis and were meeting with a chiropractor regularly.

“The chiropractic profession is not that common in Hong Kong, so I didn’t think to choose it at first,” Lee said. “But after doing research on the internet and talking to my sister’s chiropractor, he suggested I check out a school in the states – Life University.”

Lee’s advice to other students is that if you are passionate about something, just go for it.

“If you want to help others and become a great chiropractor, you have to go for it and work hard,” he advised. “Yes, somedays will be more difficult than others, but it will be worth it to help those in need”
