Joshua Lee
โ€œBringing Chiropractic to Hong Kongโ€
Student: Doctor of Chiropractic
September 2021

Joshua Lee, a student at Life University from Hong Kong, is studying to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. Originally, Lee was studying civil engineering during his undergraduate in Hong Kong.

โ€œAfter I finished, I thought I would like the profession and was an engineer for two years,” Lee recalled. “I worked really hard, but I was tired of working for a boss instead of working for the people. I wanted to help others and began to wonder if I should change my profession.โ€

Lee did research on multiple healthcare professions to try and decide what to do next. In the meantime, both of his sisters have scoliosis and were meeting with a chiropractor regularly.

โ€œThe chiropractic profession is not that common in Hong Kong, so I didnโ€™t think to choose it at first,” Lee said. “But after doing research on the internet and talking to my sisterโ€™s chiropractor, he suggested I check out a school in the states โ€“ Life University.โ€

Leeโ€™s advice to other students is that if you are passionate about something, just go for it.

โ€œIf you want to help others and become a great chiropractor, you have to go for it and work hard,โ€ he advised. โ€œYes, somedays will be more difficult than others, but it will be worth it to help those in needโ€
