Today, Life University`s leadership—Harrison Davis, Jr., Chief Diversity Officer; Dr. Marc P. Schneider, V.P. of Operations; Dr. Jana Holwick, V.P. of Academic Affairs & Provost; and Cedric Gaddy, Chief Financial Officer—proudly wear jeans to observe Denim Day, an international campaign to combat sexual violence. Originating as a protest against victim blaming, Denim Day is a day when people wear jeans to raise awareness and stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual assault. On this significant day, part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we stand united to emphasize our commitment to education, prevention, and promoting a safe, respectful environment on campus.

I had a tremendous time on the campus of Life University last week for LIFEforce, Life Leadership Weekend, meeting of the Board of Trustees, plus the Alumni Association’s DC Student Engagement Dinner where the energy was over the top. 🙌 This was on the heels of the awesome Life Vision Canada seminar in Montreal and starts to cap off my first year as President of our incredible Association.

The Mission of the Life University Alumni Association (LUAA) is to support the needs of the alumni, students, and University through mutually-beneficial resources, programs, and connections with the LIFE community. Our Vision is that the alumni of LIFE will experience life-long, active connection with the University and with each other. 🌎

Every single Life U grad is a member of the LUAA. The more active participation, the greater our outcomes. Here are a few things the LUAA has been up to, with even more to come this year…
🔹 Student-Alumni events — mentorship on the Life U campus in the spirit of Lasting Purpose.
🔹 Scholarships — valuable financial support to DC, graduate, and undergraduate students.
🔹 Black Alumni Reception — the 5th annual event was hosted this fall — outrageous success.
🔹 Graduations — a vital moment of involvement for the Alumni Association, celebrating, welcoming and supporting our new members.
🔹 Podcast — the first episode of ThrivingChiros will be released soon, to connect and inspire Life U chiropractic Alumni and Friends.
🔹 Support for fundraising initiatives — the annual Golf Scramble supports student scholarships. The Dr. Chuck Ribley Alumni and Events Center will serve as a gathering place for alumni.
🔹 Life University’s 50th Anniversary Celebration — plan to attend the LUAA-sponsored cocktail hour at this year’s black-tie gala, October 4, 2024.

Details are in the comments below for ways you can get involved and support the students and alumni of the world’s greatest chiropractic institution. ✨

Thanks for sharing this history!

We watched it be built along with many other campus improvements during our time at Life 1996-2002. Now a newborn baby I brought home to Life Commons in 2001 is in his 3rd quarter! So so exciting to look back and forward!
