The Dean’s list distinction is given to any student who has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5-3.99 for each quarter during the academic year, registered for a minimum of 12 credits for each quarter and completed all credits for all registered courses.
Meat in the Middle- Eating Less Meat for Improved Health
When it comes to the subject of whether people should eat meat, the thought is fraught with many seemingly black-and-white ethical and health considerations. The assumed sentiment often seems to be either someone is a regular meat eater or that they need to be a vegetarian, but in fact, the matter is not nearly so cut and dry.
My First Quarter- Jenna Salyer
The best advice is to talk to people. Don’t be afraid to meet everybody. Don’t think that you are the only one thinking ‘Oh, I don’t know anybody. I don’t know anything.’ Because everybody is feeling the same way. It really is true that it’s not just you. If you get up the courage to talk to somebody, it will make you feel so much better.
Faces of LIFE– Kelsey Asher
Kelsey Asher is one of two new Integrated Content Creators in the Marketing Department at Life University (Life U). She began working at Life U in January of 2022. Asher also just celebrated her first wedding anniversary to Taylor Smith this past May. A search for spiritual connection brought Asher and her husband together, and they continue to grow in their faith.
LIFE UNIVERSITY HONORS CO-FOUNDER DR. CHUCK RIBLEY WITH BUILDING DEDICATION FOR FUTURE LASTING PURPOSE ALUMNI EVENT CENTER
October 14, 2022- On Thursday, October 13, Life University (Life U) hosted a building dedication for the future site of the Dr. Chuck Ribley Lasting Purpose Alumni Event Center. The building will be named in honor of co-founder and former longtime Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman of the University.
Sankofa and Empowering Black Chiropractors
Life University (Life U) held its 4th Annual Black Alumni Reception on October 1, 2022 as part of Life Vision Extravaganza. The beautiful event featured a variety of distinguished speakers expounding on the evening’s major theme, Sankofa.
Hispanic Heritage Month 2022 at Life U
The national theme for 2022 Hispanic Heritage Month is Unidos- Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation, according to the National Institutes of Health Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. What a fitting sentiment, and one that we strive to work toward at Life University (Life U). National Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15 and continues through October 15.
Faces of LIFE- Melissa Castaneda
Melissa Castaneda and her older brother grew up in Grayson, Georgia with their parents who immigrated to America from Mexico before she was born. Castaneda is a first-generation college student, the first of the family to not only go to college but also pursue even higher levels of education as a D.C. student at Life University (Life U).
