LIFE UNIVERSITY TO HOST USA RUGBY MEN’S D1A NATIONAL SEMIFINAL MATCH TO BE TELEVISED ON CBS SPORTS NETWORK

Marietta, Georgia, February 20, 2019 – For the third year in a row, Life University (LIFE) has been selected as one of two host sites for the USA Rugby Men’s D1A National Semifinals. The National Semifinal match will take place at Lupo Family Field, on the campus of Life University, on Saturday, April 27, 2019. The kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. EST and will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network. The winner will advance to the D1A National Championship on May 4, 2018 (location TBD).

LIFE UNIVERSITY MEN’S WRESTLING FINISHES THIRD AT MSC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Bowling Green, Kentucky, February 19, 2019 – The No. 3 nationally-ranked Life University men’s wrestling team finished third at the 2019 Mid-South Conference (MSC) Men’s Wrestling Championships this past weekend.

Nosomy Pozo finished as the 157 lbs. tournament champion, while also garnering MSC Wrestler of the Tournament honors and First-Team All-MSC for his championship. Pozo earned a pair of pins in the tournament with a flawless 4-0 record and remains 16-0 on the year.

LIFE UNIVERSITY TO HOLD HISTORIC COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY AT LEE ARRENDALE STATE PRISON FOR ASSOCIATE OF ARTS IN POSITIVE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL CHANGE CANDIDATES

Marietta, Georgia, January 24, 2019 – On January 28, 2019, 11 students who are incarcerated at Lee Arrendale State Prison, a maximum security women’s prison in Alto, Georgia, will graduate with an Associate of Arts degree in Positive Human Development and Social Change (PHDSC) from Life University (LIFE), based in Marietta, Georgia. The students have earned an average, cumulative GPA of 3.9, and all will go on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
