LIFE UNIVERSITY HOLDS EAGLE MADNESS PREVIEW DAY FOR UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS
Marietta, Georgia, March 4, 2021 – Life University (LIFE) will open its doors to prospective students and their guests on Saturday, March 6, 2021 for Eagle Madness Undergraduate and Graduate Preview Day. More than 60 people are registered for the event, which is open to students, parents, educators, counselors and advisors, according to Life University Director of Enrollment Events & Tours Diane Benson-Brown.
“Eagle Madness gives prospective students a snapshot of what it would be like to attend LIFE and an opportunity to learn about our philosophy and academic offerings,” Benson-Brown said. “It allows them to experience interactive classroom sessions, tour the campus and meet Life University faculty, staff and Student Ambassadors. I hope that prospective students will walk away with a sense of what it’s like to be part of the LIFE family.”
Founded in 1974, Life University is a health sciences institution most known for its Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) program, the largest single-campus chiropractic program in the world. Undergraduates can pursue 14 undergraduate degrees as well as a pre-chiropractic, degree-seeking pathway. Three graduate degrees are available, encompassing areas of sport health science, clinical nutrition and positive psychology. Some degree programs are offered to distance learners through the College of Online Education.
Life University strives to empower its students to succeed both professionally and personally. LIFE advances a leading-edge approach to higher education while also remaining true to the University’s philosophical commitment to produce informed leaders who exemplify humanistic values in their professions. To achieve this goal, LIFE recognizes and demonstrates its dedication through three official Life University Values: Lasting Purpose, Vitalism and Integrity.
LIFE’s 110-acre campus in Marietta, Georgia, just northwest of Atlanta, is home to more than 2,700 undergraduate, graduate and professional students who come from all 50 United States and more than 45 countries.
The agenda for Eagle Madness includes presentations from LIFE Sr. Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Tim Gross, Dean of the College of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies Dr. Jana Holwick and Dean of Students Dr. Janna Bredeson. In addition, representatives from Admissions, Enrollment, Financial Aid and Student Services will participate. The University’s COVID-19 protocols for physical distancing and the use of PPE will be adhered to throughout the day.
Most sessions will take place in The Commons, LIFE’s newest residence hall. Designated for first-year students only, The Commons is a physical example of a living-learning community created to encourage student integration and social collaboration. Located on the southwest side of campus, the building features approximately 100,000 sq. ft. of living space for up to 360 residents as well as the Lyceum Dining Hall. Group gathering and study areas are located on each floor.
Eagle Madness is held every spring and fall, with the next event scheduled for November 12-13. Similarly, LIFE Leadership Weekend is a preview event for prospective chiropractic students that takes place four times a year, including April 15-17 and July 22-24, 2021. Individual and group tours for prospective undergraduate, graduate and chiropractic students take place every week.
