This past weekend (April 24-27, 2025), Life University (Life U) buzzed with passion, purpose and potential as we welcomed current students, LIFEforce doctors, and – most importantly – future chiropractors during our dynamic Life Leadership and LIFEforce Weekend (LLW/LFW). A signature event for the Life U community, LLW and LFW provided transformative experiences for all involved, focused on our shared mission of advancing vitalistic chiropractic care and honoring Life U’s foundational value of Lasting Purpose.
Faces of Life U: Angelina Prado
They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that rings true in a sense for Texas-bred Angelina Prado, approaching everything in life with a big heart full of passion and gusto. The El Paso native grew up in a close-knit family made up of her parents, brother and grandmother close by, grateful for the personal “village” that helped shape her into the woman she now is. Though used to travel as a high school wrestler, Prado knew it would be a considerable change when she pondered accepting an offer for a scholarship to wrestle for Life University (Life U), if for no other reason than the distance from her home state.
Faces of Life U: Dr. Veronica Garcia Chaparro
Life University is home to a diverse array of faculty, staff and students, each bringing their unique stories and experiences. Among them is a former student, now a Life U alumna and faculty clinician, Dr. Veronica Garcia- Chaparro. Her journey to Life U is both inspiring and reflective of the twists and turns that life can take.
Shaping and Marketing Your Personal Approach to Chiropractic, featuring Dr. Aryn Gabai
Dr. Aryn Gabia, Life University Alumnus and Owner/Chiropractor for Pennington Family Chiropractic, takes a truly global view at the potential impact that chiropractic can have. Toward the end of school, he traveled with one of the first groups of students to deliver chiropractic care in a Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Zigong, China. Following his work in China, he interned at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland in the Department for Traditional Medicine working on documents that set standards for care in multiple fields of traditional medicine including Ayurveda, Thai Massage, Naturopathy and others. He treats the world as a never-ending classroom and playground, eager to learn and teach and grow.

Dr. Laura Froese, a Life U Alumna and Co-Owner/Chiropractor for Lighthouse Chiropractic & Wellness Center in Traverse City, Michigan, truly exemplifies the idea of a what a family chiropractor and a chiropractic family looks like. Truly the two concepts could not be separated, with her sons often underfoot at the office and along the way learning what Chiropractic was all about. Faces of Life U: Brian Gipson
Effective enrollment management is a major piece required to ensure the future success and longevity of any university. Brian Gipson, our new Associate Vice President for Enrollment, has a keen understanding of how to communicate effectively with prospective and current students. He has held key positions in esteemed higher education institutions across the nation, most recently finishing up an eight-year stint at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
