Marietta, Georgia –December 4, 2025- Researchers from Life University’s (Life U) Dr. Sid E. Williams Center for Chiropractic Research have recently published the third in a series of three articles based on a study of motion and forces of side-posture adjustments performed at Life U. It is titled “Kinematic assessment of hip, shoulder, and elbow movements of a chiropractor performing side posture adjustments: results from a biomechanical analysis.” The article is now available online and can be downloaded or read at this link on ScienceDirect before December 6, 2025.

The study profiles the extremity movements of 10 student volunteers most directly involved in side-posture adjustments, as performed by Dr. Linda Mullin Elkins. The implementation, data analysis, results presentation, writing and journal submission process required teamwork by Drs. Brent Russell, Michael Weiner, Ron Hosek, Ed Owens and Gabriel Kelly. The authors also wish to acknowledge the editor and staff of the Journal of Manipulative & Physiological Therapeutics, as well as Drs. Jonathan Bryson, Lori Beth Bryson and Kelly Kang.
