Do’s and Don’ts of Selling a Chiropractic Practice to a Family Member

A well-run and well-loved chiropractic practice is a valuable legacy that many hope will outlive them. To keep a chiropractic practice running smoothly and serving the community for generations to come, it is not uncommon for a chiropractor to sell their practice to a family member, passing it down to a son or daughter that followed in their footsteps, or perhaps a sibling or other relative with the proper licensure.

Defending Chiropractic Through Research with Dr. Tyson Perez

Chiropractic as an established is young in respect to healthcare as a whole, so the chiropractic community has some catching up to do to create a wider breadth of scientifically sound research to help the larger healthcare landscape understand the value of chiropractic care.

Dr. Tyson Perez is a licensed DC and a Research Scientist working with Life University to contribute to the growth of chiropractic research and thus put chiropractic on a stronger footing to demonstrate its benefits scientifically.

Forever Continuing Education in Chiropractic and Beyond, with Kathy Stavovy- Bannister (podcast)

Continuing your chiropractic education is a never-ending endeavor and in fact is a requirement to maintain chiropractic licensure. Kathy Stavovy-Bannister as Director of Postgraduate Education at Life University (Life U) works tirelessly to help take the guess work out of needed annual CE hours and what is required in various states.

The special main event hosted by the Postgraduate Department each year is Life Vision Extravaganza weekend, being held in September 18-20, 2025. Not only is it a homing of sorts for the Life U community, but it allows chiropractors to complete many CE hours in one place. Learn more at life.edu

Faces of Life U: Angelina Prado

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that rings true in a sense for Texas-bred Angelina Prado, approaching everything in life with a big heart full of passion and gusto. The El Paso native grew up in a close-knit family made up of her parents, brother and grandmother close by, grateful for the personal “village” that helped shape her into the woman she now is. Though used to travel as a high school wrestler, Prado knew it would be a considerable change when she pondered accepting an offer for a scholarship to wrestle for Life University (Life U), if for no other reason than the distance from her home state.
