Marietta, Georgia- January 22, 2026 – Life University (Life U) proudly celebrates the success of a campus-wide Winter Item Drive led by Life U’s Student Council and Campus Activities Board (CAB), demonstrating the University’s ongoing commitment to service and community care.
The drive concluded with the delivery of more than 80 winter items, including coats, scarves, hats and other cold-weather essentials, to MUST Ministries’ Hope House Shelter in Marietta. These donations will help provide warmth and relief to individuals and families facing hardship during the winter season.
A dedicated group of 24 Student Council and CAB members spearheaded the initiative, promoting the drive through campus flyers, email outreach and social media. The Student Advocacy Desk served as a central drop-off location, making it easy for students, faculty and staff to contribute.
Additional awareness and engagement were generated through tabling events held in Socrates Café and The Commons. In support of the initiative, Human Resources contributed by awarding five 20 to Life Program points for each tabling event, further encouraging participation and reinforcing Life University’s culture of service to faculty and staff.
“The Campus Activities Board and Student Council partnered to host a campus-wide winter item drive as a heartfelt act of service – grounded in care for our local community, awareness of real and immediate need, and a shared desire to respond with compassion,” shared Samantha Clark, Director of Engagement and Student Planning at Life U. “Out of an abundance to serve, our campus came together to collect over 80 winter items, helping to alleviate the winter struggle faced by so many in our community.”
Through collaboration, compassion and action, Life U students once again exemplified the institution’s mission to lead with purpose and make a meaningful impact beyond campus.
