Marietta, Georgia – July 26, 2024 – Life University (Life U) is proud to announce the establishment of its new Center for Veteran Services and Engagement, a dedicated initiative designed to support the unique needs of military and veteran students. This Center underscores Life U’s commitment to providing comprehensive resources and a supportive environment for those who have served our country.
A Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held Thursday, July 25 to mark the Center’s opening. In attendance were President Dr. Rob Scott, members of Life U’s Board of Trustees, military and veteran students, among many other Life U students, faculty, staff and invited guests.
Under the expert leadership of Ms. Lisa Collins, a Navy veteran with over 15 years of experience in post-secondary education career services, the Center aims to enhance veteran students’ educational and career success. Ms. Collins brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to this pivotal role, ensuring that military and veteran learners receive the support they need to thrive.
“The creation of the Center for Veteran Services and Engagement reflects Life University’s deep respect and appreciation for the sacrifices and contributions of our military and veteran students,” said Dr. Rob Scott, President of Life University. “We are committed to fostering an inclusive and empowering environment where these students can achieve their full potential.”
The Center focuses on several key areas to ensure the success of veteran students:

- Collaborative Partnerships: Working with various university departments to provide holistic support for military and veteran students.

The Center for Veteran Services and Engagement represents a significant advancement in Life U’s mission to empower each student to maximize their potential within. By providing tailored resources and fostering community, the Center aims to enhance the overall experience and success of military and veteran students at Life U.
