Evann Desjardins

When Evann Desjardins graduated from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina with a Health and Exercise Science degree, she knew where she would further her education – a school for physical therapy. Having been a Division 1 soccer player throughout her time as an undergraduate, she was very well acquainted with athletic injuries and subsequent physical therapy visits. Yet, Desjardins ended up at Life University and is now studying to become a chiropractor.

Dr. Marla Thompson

Dr. Marla Thompson, adjunct professor since 2010, teaches Marketing courses, Business courses, Ethics & Corporate Social Responsibility courses, and Diversity courses here at Life University. Thompson focuses on imparting knowledge to many types of learners, such as traditional, non-traditional, undergraduate, graduate as well as doctoral students – all seeking knowledge for successful careers in the global marketplace.

From studying exercise physiology as an undergrad to studying Chiropractic here at Life University, Kelly Cottos knows about helping the body achieve its optimum health.

Equipped with a degree in exercise physiology from Ohio University, Cottos set about looking for a job in the profession for which she trained.

Kain Queck

“I always planned to become a chiropractor,” states Doctor of Chiropractic student Kain Queck. From Fontanelle, Iowa, Queck holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa. He says that he originally decided to attend school there since it offered a dual-enrollment program with Palmer College of Chiropractic, but after speaking with several practicing chiropractors, they all referred him to Life University for his chiropractic studies.

Patience Canty

From Greenville, South Carolina, Patience Canty is in both the Doctor of Chiropractic and Positive Psychology programs here at Life University. Canty relates, “I really believe in the three T’s from subluxation (toxins, traumas and thoughts), and I feel that Chiropractic really covers the toxins and traumas portions, but I also wanted to educate myself on the thoughts portion through the Positive Psychology program.”

And eventually that path lead me to Life University.” With an undergraduate degree in biology from the State University of New York (SUNY) Cortland in New York, Heather Parks started on her path to LIFE.
