Defending Chiropractic Through Research with Dr. Tyson Perez

Chiropractic as an established is young in respect to healthcare as a whole, so the chiropractic community has some catching up to do to create a wider breadth of scientifically sound research to help the larger healthcare landscape understand the value of chiropractic care.

Dr. Tyson Perez is a licensed DC and a Research Scientist working with Life University to contribute to the growth of chiropractic research and thus put chiropractic on a stronger footing to demonstrate its benefits scientifically.

A curious mind is an active one, and one that may be best suited for a career in Research. Dr. William Vicory is a Biomedical Engineer for the Dr. Sid E. Williams Center for Chiropractic Research here at Life University. He discusses his unconventional path toward academic research, how compelling questions compelled him to dig deeper and learn in a dynamic way. He is working on some exciting projects, including a sit-up model of PAT, our lovable 3D chiropractic mannequins.

LIFE UNIVERSITY RECEIVES TWO AWARDS AT CHIROPRACTIC RESEARCH CONFERENCE

August 9, 2022- Representatives of Life University’s (Life U) Dr. Sid E. Williams Center for Chiropractic Research (CCR) recently attended and brought back two prestigious awards from the 28th Educational Conference and Research Agenda Conference (ACC-RAC 2022) hosted by the Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC). The conference was held from July 24-26, 2022, in San Diego, California.

LIFE UNIVERSITY RESEARCH RECEIVES COMMENDATION FROM GEORGIA GOVERNOR BRIAN KEMP

Marietta, Georgia, September 8, 2021 – Life University (Life U) alumna and current member of the Georgia House Representatives Dr. Karen Mathiak presented a commendation from Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and the Georgia State Legislature in honor of Founders Month for Research to Life University yesterday, September 7. Founders Month for Research is a 30-day campaign in the month of September centered around the founding date of Chiropractic: September 18, 1895. Life University dedicates the entire month to raising resources and awareness for Chiropractic research.

Marietta, Georgia, April 23, 2020 – Life University’s Center for Chiropractic Research (CCR) recently launched a COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) resource website. The resource site – designed with chiropractors in mind – provides links to government agencies and chiropractic-specific organizations, resources for practicing chiropractors, and scientific abstracts of chiropractic and immune system related research.
