Marietta, Georgia, January 15, 2020 – Life University (LIFE) students, faculty, staff and alumni gathered in the lower gym of the Center for Athletics and Sport Science building on Wednesday, January 15 for the LIFE Involvement Fair Experience (L.I.F.E.), an unofficial kickoff event for the Winter 2020 Quarter.

Recognizing that well-balanced students are infinitely more prepared for life after college, LIFE encourages students to express themselves, to contribute their talents and to develop new friendships and relationships, both on campus and in the community. The L.I.F.E. event is held at the beginning of each quarter to show students that there is more to LIFE beyond the classroom.

Ariana Reyes, Co-President of the Campus Activities Board (CAB), said it is important for students to get involved. “When I came to LIFE, I didn’t know anyone, but once I joined the CAB, I felt like I could better adapt to this new lifestyle,” Reyes said.

L.I.F.E. provided food, music and an opportunity to learn about more than 70 student groups, clubs vendors and organizations. Some of these included the Life University Wellness Center, AMPED club, Student LIFEforce, Kairos Training Club, Chiro One Wellness Centers LLC, NeuroEmotional Technique Club, Mind Your Business, LGE Community Credit Union, Campus Recreation and more.

“I think this is a great way to start off the quarter,” said Jacob Bandelaria, a 5th quarter chiropractic student and member of Student LIFEforce. “Coming back from winter break, everyone is trying to get back into the swing of things, and I think the food and clubs help people get involved and start off strong.”

Fellow 5th quarter chiropractic student and Student LIFEforce Marketing Coordinator Courtney Henson agreed. “I think this community atmosphere makes a big impact to create those connections now and have them for the rest of the quarter.

Life University uses a web-based application called Engage, which allows students to join, connect with and start new campus organizations. More information can be found at Engage.LIFE.edu.
