Marietta, Georgia, November 16, 2020 – Life University (LIFE) will hold a virtual career fair for Doctor of Chiropractic students and chiropractic practices nationwide on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Career Fair 4 LIFE is held twice each year, during the Spring and Fall Quarters, according to Sue Dudt, Director of LIFE’s Career Services Department. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the November event will take place on the digital Symplicity career services management platform. In addition to students, Dudt said dozens of employers throughout the U.S. and other nations, including Canada and Singapore, have registered for the event. Dudt said the virtual career fair is a great opportunity for chiropractic students who may desire to relocate to another part of the U.S. or the world after they graduate.
Founded in 1974, Life University is a health sciences institution most known for its Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) program, the largest single-campus chiropractic program in the world. Undergraduates can pursue 15 undergraduate degrees as well as a pre-chiropractic, degree-seeking pathway. Three graduate degrees are available, encompassing areas of sport health science, clinical nutrition and positive psychology. Some degree programs are offered to distance learners through the College of Online Education.
LIFE’s 110-acre campus in Marietta, Georgia, just northwest of Atlanta, is home to more than 2,700 undergraduate, graduate and professional students who come from all 50 United States and more than 45 countries.
Students must register on LIFE’s Symplicity webpage and create a profile in order to participate. Dudt said students will be in charge of their own experience, sending their rĂ©sumĂ© to prospective employers, contacting them via text chat and connecting with them for video interviews. Companies can also review rĂ©sumĂ©s and reach out to students directly both before and after the event.
“There’s always at least 500 or 600 associate opportunities on the posting board and a lot of practices or chiropractic equipment for sale,” Dudt said. “It’s great tool that we use, and the Career Fair 4 LIFE piece is a really great extra add-on that’s very useful.”

Dudt said some local internships and part-time positions are already available for those in other degree programs, with additional career and networking events, including some specifically tailored for students pursuing degrees within the College of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies (CGUS), being planned for the near future. One idea Dudt has is a virtual “job shadowing” session for CGUS students, tied to Groundhog Day in February, to provide career exploration and build mentoring relationships.
Dudt also encouraged all employers with job opportunities, including LIFE alumni, to reach out to the Career Services Department at Career@LIFE.edu if they are interested in connecting with current students.
The next Career Fair 4 LIFE will take place in the Spring of 2021. Details will be made public closer to the event.
