November 6, 2023 – Marietta, Georgia – Life University (Life U) is pleased to announce that its annual Veterans Day Assembly will be held on Thursday, November 16, on the second floor TIC Auditorium (Main Gym) of the Center for Athletics and Sport Science located at 1266 Barclay Circle, Marietta, GA, 30060.
The assembly will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. with a welcoming address from Vice President of University Advancement Dr. Gilles LaMarche. Subsequently, there will be presentations by Sgt. Eric Ferguson (U.S. Army) and Life U Board of Trustees member Dr. Mary Olodun (U.S. Navy and U.S. Army).
A signing of the Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Agreement will take place immediately following the presentations by Sgt. Ferguson and Dr. Olodun. Georgia ESGR Chair Kevin Wince, ESGR National Engagement Director Bruce Townshend and Life U Provost and CAO Dr. Jana Holwick will all join Dr. Olodun on stage to sign the agreement.

It also assists in resolving conflicts between the Service members and their employers.
Life U will become the fifth university to partner with ESGR at the national level in support of the campus Veteran population. The university boasts various initiatives to increase student-Veteran enrollment, increase Veteran-patient care and link currently enrolled students with Service member-education opportunities, such as S.R.O.T.C., the Health Professional Scholarship Program and Veterans educational benefits. Additionally, the University is excited to announce its new Veterans Affairs and Representative and Engagement Director position to its staff.
Then, following the signing of the agreement, a special luncheon will be held at The Commons Dining Hall for invited guests, which is located at 1100 Barclay Circle, Marietta, GA, 30060.
