Marietta, Georgia, April 19, 2021 – Life University (LIFE) hosted nearly 200 prospective Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) students and guests on its campus April 16-17, 2021 for LIFE Leadership Weekend. The weekend’s activities included opportunities for students to meet with University leadership, faculty, staff and Student Ambassadors; tour the LIFE campus; and to learn about the Chiropractic profession from prominent guest speakers.
Founded in 1974, Life University is a health sciences institution most known for its D.C. program, the largest single-campus chiropractic program in the world. LIFE also offers 14 undergraduate degrees, as well as a pre-chiropractic, degree-seeking pathway. Three graduate degrees are available, encompassing areas of sport health science, clinical nutrition and positive psychology. Some degree programs are offered to distance learners through the College of Online Education.
“Life University is an almost magical place. You cannot imagine what your time here will be like until you experience the beauty of our campus and the hearts of our people,” said Dr. Gilles A. LaMarche, Vice President of University Advancement & Enrollment. “LIFE Leadership Weekends allow our guests and future students to understand Life University, our vitalistic philosophy on health and healing, and our foundation of Lasting Purpose.”
Lasting Purpose is the University’s guiding principle: “To live an inner-directed life, to give, to do, to love, to serve, out of your own abundance.”
Also this weekend, more than 70 LIFEforce doctors gathered on campus for LIFEforce Weekend. LIFEforce is a network of chiropractors dedicated to expanding worldwide access to chiropractic care and attracting students to Life University.
“LIFEforce Weekend and LIFE Leadership Weekend are a perfect pair and really complement each other,” said Magi Rogers, Director of LIFEforce & Enrollment Strategic Initiatives. “Future students get a glimpse of the culture and first-class educational opportunities here at LIFE, while our LIFEforce members come together to support the future of Chiropractic and Life University.”
Life University strives to empower its students to succeed both professionally and personally. LIFE advances a leading-edge approach to higher education while also remaining true to the University’s philosophical commitment to produce informed leaders who exemplify humanistic values in their professions. To achieve this goal, LIFE recognizes and demonstrates its dedication through three official Life University Values: Lasting Purpose, Vitalism and Integrity.
LIFE’s 110-acre campus just northwest of Atlanta is home to more than 2,800 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who come from all 50 United States and more than 45 countries.
