A little gratitude goes a long way. In anticipation of Life University’s (Life U) Life U Day coming up on Thursday, February 22, 2024, the Office of Advancement organized a fun and exciting Gratitude Garden Signing Event. The event took place on Monday, February 19 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., simultaneously in Socrates Café and The Commons lobby.

Students, faculty and staff were invited to sign and decorate yard signs with expressions of gratitude and love toward Life U, an appropriate activity as we celebrate the University’s 50th anniversary this year. The signs have positive messaging and drawings with all kinds of shoutouts for beloved professors, sports teams, favorite classes and more. Shortly after the 100 allotted signs were completed, the Advancement team went to work setting up the temporary Gratitude Garden in the Standard Process Amphitheater. Fortunately, it was a nice, sunny day for it, as the team set up the signs with smiles on their faces.

The amphitheater will house this heartwarming display of thankfulness, the 2024 Life University Gratitude Garden, from February 19-29. Make a point to check it out in person while you still can! Thank you for those that participated and see if you can locate your handiwork.

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
