Marietta, Georgia – July 1, 2024 –  Life University (Life U) proudly announces that two of its distinguished alumni, CJ Allen and Alexandria “Spiff” Sedrick, will represent the United States in the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, from July 26 through August 11.

CJ Allen: An alumnus of Life U’s M.S. Sport Health Science and Doctor of Chiropractic programs, CJ Allen has qualified for the Men’s 400m Hurdles event. Allen secured his spot on Team USA with a stellar second-place finish at the Olympic Trials on June 30. This achievement marks a significant milestone in his career, as it is his first time making the Olympic team after a decade of competing in the Olympic Trials. Alexandria “Spiff” Sedrick: A standout former student-athlete from Life University’s Women’s Rugby team, Alexandria “Spiff” Sedrick will compete as a center on the Team USA Women’s Rugby 7s squad. Sedrick earned her B.S. Biopsychology degree from Life U in 2020. During her time at Life U, she garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious MA Sorensen Award in 2020, which is awarded to the top women’s collegiate rugby player in the United States. Additionally, Sedrick was honored with Life U’s Athlete of the Year Award in 2018 and Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.
