Researching the Art of the Adjustment with Dr. Brent Russell – Podcast
Dr. Brent Russell is something of an institution here at Life University, first as an alumnus, then as a Faculty Clinician and now as a Research Professor that wears many hats for the Research Department. He leads the team that conducts research on “The Art of the Adjustment”, with the overarching goal of contributing to a breadth of research knowledge on what is exactly going on during an adjustment, how much force is involved and the potential benefits etc. The Palpation and Adjustment Trainer (PAT) became a big piece of that equation during the Covid 19 pandemic and beyond, and continues to be a tool with immense research and student practice capabilities.

Faces of LIFE- Paul Boss
Native Floridian Paul Boss spent a fair amount of his early years with family and friends outdoors, at the beach and on the water. He lived with his mom, his brother Kyle and sister Lauren, and he also has a long-term girlfriend named Mackenzie currently studying Optometry back in his home state. Reflecting on his past, Boss remarked that it was inspiring for him to see how his mom “worked hard to pour into [them] everything that she had to watch [them] succeed.”
Chiropractic Adjustments- A Basic Overview
Chiropractic adjustments are the basis of most chiropractic practices, offering alleviation and prevention of pain symptoms to patients. This is the driving force behind Life University’s technique lab of the future. It guides all of our research and every development.
Michael Becker
When looking at Chiropractic through an artist’s lens, you may well see it as an “art” as well. Michael Becker, on his way to becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic, does indeed take that view. An extremely well-spoken individual, Becker possesses a degree in Philosophy obtained from the University of Tampa in Florida, yet is now at Life University walking a very different path. He says that LIFE’s philosophy aligns well with his own personal beliefs, and after he came to the realization that he wanted to serve his fellow man, he came to LIFE to learn a profession that does just that.
Richard Forte
“My first chiropractic adjustment took place when I was just a couple minutes old” … and not only was the world introduced to Richard Forte, but he was introduced to Chiropractic at the same time. Forte continues, “As soon as I was born, the doctor saw that I was not breathing, and my lips started turning blue. My mother immediately adjusted my atlas right there on the delivery table and I instantly turned pink and started screaming!”
