Marietta, Georgia, July 11, 2019 – Leadership Cobb has selected 50 new participants for the 2019-2020 class, and Life University Vice President of University Advancement Dr. Gilles LaMarche is among the group chosen.
Leadership Cobb is a leadership development program focused on personal and professional growth through awareness, community resources and the social, political and economic needs of the community at large. Life University President Dr. Rob Scott is himself an alumnus of the Leadership Cobb program.
Class members have been selected from various industries, community organizations, government entities, religious organizations, volunteer programs and other organizations in Cobb County. Throughout the next year, the 50 selected participants will train and study the art of effective leadership through lectures, dialogues and retreats. The goal of their time with Leadership Cobb is to push their own self-discovery, expand upon their own pre-existing talents and skills, and to take their leadership abilities from potential to powerful.
“The application is a very competitive process, and I am honored to have been selected to the Class of 2020,” notes Dr. Gilles LaMarche. “The program offers experience in a variety of Cobb County initiatives and will certainly serve to enhance Life University’s visibility and our willingness to be a supportive partner in our community.”
