LIFE UNIVERSITY MEN’S RUGBY TO PLAY SEVENTH CONSECUTIVE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME THIS SATURDAY, MAY 4 ON CBS SPORTS NETWORK -Life University to face the University of California, Berkeley in Championship Rematch in Santa Clara, California

Marietta, Georgia, May 3, 2019 – For the seventh consecutive year, Life University’s (LIFE’s) Varsity Men’s Rugby team will play in the USA Rugby Men’s D1A National Championship. LIFE will face off with the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) in Santa Clara, California, hosted by Santa Clara University, on May 4, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. PST/9:00 p.m. EST for the championship game. This will serve as a rematch of last year’s title game, which saw Life University defeat UC Berkeley by a 60-5 final score for its third championship in the last six years.

Marietta, Georgia, April 15, 2019 – Dr. Mark Kovacs, the Director of the LIFE Sport Science Institute (LSSI) and Associate Professor in the Department of Sport Health Science at Life University (LIFE), was invited to be the content expert for the Team Physician Consensus Document on the topic of “Load, Overload and Recovery Issues in the Athlete.” This is the 19th year of this prestigious event that culminates in a consensus document utilized by Team Physicians, nationally and internationally, working with athletes at all levels of sport.

Marietta, Georgia, March 22, 2019 – Life University (LIFE) announces that Gilles LaMarche, B.S., D.C., has been named the University’s Vice President of University Advancement. In a process that took several months, Dr. LaMarche was ultimately chosen for the position and made a smooth transition from his previous University position as Vice President of Professional Relations – which he had held since 2013.

LIFE UNIVERSITY WOMEN’S WRESTLING FINISHES SEVENTH AT NAIA NATIONALS – CROWNS THREE ALL-AMERICANS

Jamestown, North Dakota, March 22, 2019 – The Life University Women’s Wrestling team finished seventh at the 2019 NAIA Women’s Wrestling Invitational, as the program crowned its first three All-Americans.

The 2018-2019 competition season marked a historic milestone for women’s wrestling in the United States. The NAIA introduced women’s wrestling as an invitational sport, marking the first time a collegiate governing body officially recognized women’s wrestling as a sport.
