Marietta, Georgia– December 2, 2022 – Life University has received a new Level 2 accreditation through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for its Master’s in Positive Psychology (MPSY) program’s Coaching Track, making the degree more valuable to students and more unique in the marketplace. This grants the program the authority to continue providing coach education plus administering and assessing the oral exams for ACC/PCC certifications on behalf of the ICF. This program also received the renewal of the Level 1 accreditation, which Life U has held since 2014.

“This is the next step in the evolution of the MPSY program at Life U, and this increase to a Level 2 Accreditation offers a better opportunity for our students by providing them with more mentoring opportunities,” said Dr. Mickey Parsons, Assistant Professor and Director of Coach Education in the College of Online Education at Life U.

According to the official letter from the ICF announcing this new accreditation, “participants who complete the full Level 2 accredited program will be eligible to apply for credentials from the ICF using the ACC or PCC LEVEL 2 Applications.”

The official ICF Certificate approves 210 Contact Hours and is valid through July 31, 2025.
