Faces of LIFE – Erin Higgins
Erin Higgins was born and raised in Colorado and is currently pursuing the M.S. in Positive Psychology Coaching Track. βI went to grad school to become a counselor because Iβm passionate about helping people and working in mental health,” Higgins explained. “But the program ended up not being a good fit for me, so I dropped it and took months looking for the right fit.β

Her advice to other students is to make more connections in the earlier quarters. βI wish that I had been more involved with some of the clubs and stuff,β she shared. βI wish that I had been more involved in study groups. I realize that when I felt inadequate in a class, I didnβt want to get in a study group because I didnβt want to reveal what I didnβt know.β She hopes that people realize that everybody struggles with something, and it shouldnβt be embarrassing. βWhen I was in a study group, it came so much easier because we all had something to share with each other. You donβt get through this program alone.β
