Earth Day is coming up on Friday, April 22. The 2022 Earth Day theme is “Invest in Our Planet,” and in that spirit, many Life U students and student organizations are picking up trowels and signing up for Earth Day events. Green LIFE and Student Affairs have coordinated to offer several nature-centric events planned for the week leading up to Earth Day, culminating in an Earth Day Celebration at Lasting Purpose Plaza on Earth Day.

Green LIFE Garden Day- Monday, April 18, 10:00 a.m-12:45 p.m., Top Loop of Center for Athletics & Sport Health Science (SHS)
Come join the new Life U sustainability club as they launch a fun-filled week of events to kick off the week leading up to Earth Day! Participants will be planting some vegetables and flowers up in the garden at the top loop of SHS.
Privet Pull with Green LIFE- Tuesday, April 19, 9:00 a.m-1:00 p.m., Meet at the first historic village house at the 19th Century Village.
Make a difference with Green LIFE by helping to remove harmful invasive species from the woods along the campus trail!
Green LIFE Campus Clean Up- Wednesday, April 20, 11:00 a.m., Starting at Lupo Family Field.
Join Life U’s Green LIFE club to clean up our beautiful campus!
Green LIFE Campus Hike- Thursday, April 21, 9:00-10:30 a.m., 19th Century Village
Hike the campus trail and admire the surrounding beauty! Hikers will walk together starting from the front of the first historic village house at the 19th Century Village.
Earth Day Celebration- Friday, April 22, 11 a.m- 1 p.m. Lasting Purpose Plaza.
There will be food, succulents and a watershed table for fun and educational purposes.
