B.S. in Psychology student, Life U Women’s Lacrosse Player, Model in 2025 NYC Fashion Week
“Fashionably Life U”
Jazzlyn Hollerbach is a small-town young lady from Toledo, Ohio, with big dreams, ready to venture out into the big, wide world. Life University (Life U) has played a major part in empowering those huge ambitions. Life U caught her eye originally due to familial connections, as both her grandfather and her cousins are proud alumni of the institution. In fact, her grandfather, Dr. Michael Hollerbach, is an active supporter of Life U and even received the 2022 Young Alumnus Award, in deference to his efforts and faithful stewardship as a recent graduate of the D.C. program at that time. Seeing how her grandfather made great strides to reinvent himself, Hollerbach might similarly have felt compelled to forge her own unique path.
For her, that has taken several forms. In one way, the form of sweat, grit and waving lacrosse sticks. The prevalent desire to compete in top-notch athletics at the highest possible levels is one common motivator for current and prospective students who recognize Life U’s drive for balanced athletic and academic excellence in addition to a positive overall student-athlete culture.
“I like how everyone’s different. There’s so much culture. Every year, there are always new people coming in, and everyone kind of respects your little quirks. We’re just kind of a big family, and everybody just gets along whether it’s on or off the field,” Hollerbach said.
Hollerbach is a senior about to graduate with her B.S. in Psychology degree. She has interests she is exploring, considering if she would like to continue her education into a clinical therapy degree after completion of her undergraduate education. She likes the idea of becoming a counselor and helping kids pinpoint their feelings “when they feel like they don’t really have anywhere else to turn.”
Yet life is interesting in its twists and turns. It’s not always a catwalk … or is it? Hollerbach recently participated in the 2025 NYC Fashion Week, modeling for Unicorn Fantasy. It was something of a happenstance, where her grandfather made an unexpected connection that ended up putting Hollerbach in contact with the designer who was intrigued by her look and her personality. Swept up in the excitement, Hollerbach ended up jet-setting to the big city and rubbing elbows with fashion’s finest. The fashion line was very diverse, celebrating many different walks of life and body types.
“It’s a lot of different people’s body types, different cultures and stuff like that. But the whole event was pretty cool. It was just a different experience, meeting new people and just being out there in the big city – definitely an experience to remember,” Hollerbach said.
Being young and on the cusp of graduation, Hollerbach is in the enviable position to consider a few different exciting career paths, whether that means the academic route of graduate study toward becoming a licensed counselor or further investigating if a full-fledged modeling career is a possibility worth devoting more time to. Regardless of her decisions going forward, Hollerbach is sure to make a big splash.
