Marietta, Georgia – January 13, 2025 โ€“ Life University (Life U) is proud to announce that Dr. Andrew McIntosh, Assistant Professor in the Health Sciences Department, has been named the Educator of the Year by the Healthcare Science Technology Education Association (HSTEA).

Dr. McIntosh was nominated for this prestigious award by Dr. Sharon Foran, Assistant Dean for Health Sciences, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to education. His innovative implementation of the team-based learning (TBL) approach has significantly enhanced student engagement and success in both the Doctor of Chiropractic program and Life Uโ€™s undergraduate programs.

โ€œDr. McIntoshโ€™s dedication to innovation in the classroom is nothing short of exemplary,โ€ said Dr. Foran. โ€œHis efforts to advance team-based learning reflect a deep commitment to empowering students with dynamic, collaborative educational experiences.โ€

Dr. McIntosh will be formally recognized at the HSTEA Winter Conference, held January 29โ€“31, 2025, in Savannah, Georgia, and will represent the Healthcare Science division this summer at the Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education (GACTE) Conference, scheduled for June 16โ€“18, 2025, in Athens, Georgia.
