THE CHILLON PROJECT PROVIDES COMPASSION AND HIGHER EDUCATION TO THOSE IMPACTED BY GEORGIA’S PRISON SYSTEM
April 19, 2022- The Chillon Project is an initiative of the Center for Compassion, Integrity and Secular Ethics (CCISE) at Life University, and it provides higher education to people impacted by the prison system in Georgia.

Erin Higgins was born and raised in Colorado and is currently pursuing the M.S. in Positive Psychology Coaching Track. “I went to grad school to become a counselor because I’m passionate about helping people and working in mental health,” Higgins explained. “But the program ended up not being a good fit for me, so I dropped it and took months looking for the right fit.”

Faces of LIFE: Dr. Jacob Glazier
Dr. Jacob W. Glazier is an adjunct professor in the Department of General Education and Psychology. He is originally from Illinois and grew up in a small farming community. Dr. Glazier’s father and uncle were both farmers. He studied for a M.S. Ed. In Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Western Illinois University. Eventually, he found his way to Carrolton, Georgia where he studied at the University of West Georgia to become a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology with an emphasis in Consciousness and Society.

Marietta, Georgia, November 10, 2020 – Life University (LIFE) held the quarterly Master of Science in Positive Psychology Residency on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7 via Zoom. Drs. Peggy Samples, Mickey Parsons and Richard Shook presented, and the featured presenter was Benjamin Schoendorf from Montreal, Canada who presented for three hours on Friday morning.
