Marietta, Georgia – January 8, 2024 – Life University (Life U) is proud to announce that Zelin Zhou, a dedicated and accomplished Doctor of Chiropractic student in Life U’s College of Chiropractic, has been named one of the winners of the 2024 National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) Annual Student Scholarship Essay Competition.

Pretty much no one likes the idea of undergoing rigorous, nail-biting testing to prove just how well they are understanding complex concepts. However, that is a major reality of chiropractic education, a necessary one to help ensure new chiropractors will be prepared to treat patients effectively and safely. The first comprehensive test that chiropractic students take at Life U is usually the OSCE in 12th quarter, designed to prepare students for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) exams and primarily modeled after Part IV in style. Dr. Stephen Paterno is the Director of Clinical Assessment, discussing the role of assessment, proper preparation and retention of knowledge in future success as a chiropractic practitioner.
