Dean’s List Spring 2020

The Deanโ€™s list distinction is given to any student who has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 โ€“ 3.74 for each quarter during the academic year, registered for a minimum of 12 credits for each quarter and completed all credits for all registered courses.

President’s List Spring 2020

The Presidentโ€™s List distinction is to any student who has maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.75 โ€“ 4.00 for each quarter during the academic year, registered for a minimum of 12 credits for each quarter and completed all credits for all registered courses during each quarter.

Kimberly Smith-Howard

Her advice to other students is to make more connections in the earlier quarters. โ€œI wish that I had been more involved with some of the clubs and stuff,โ€ she shared. โ€œI wish that I had been more involved in study groups. I realize that when I felt inadequate in a class, I didnโ€™t want to get in a study group because I didnโ€™t want to reveal what I didnโ€™t know.โ€ She hopes that people realize that everybody struggles with something, and it shouldnโ€™t be embarrassing. โ€œWhen I was in a study group, it came so much easier because we all had something to share with each other. You donโ€™t get through this program alone.โ€

The advice I would probably tell myself is to take it a little more serious and just do the little things every day. It’s kind of like the snowball effect in a way, or compound interest. You do a little bit every day and it builds and builds and builds.
