November 3, 2023 – Marietta, Georgia – Life University (Life U) is thrilled to announce that Dr. Andrew Krantz, an esteemed member of the Clinical Sciences Adjunct Faculty, has received the distinguished Halo Award from the Georgia Transplant Foundation. Dr. Krantz has been a member of Life U’s faculty for 45 years. Amazingly, he became the first chiropractor to be recognized with this prestigious accolade.

The Halo Award is a testament to Dr. Krantz’s unwavering dedication to the cause of organ donation, as well as a heartfelt acknowledgment of the Georgia Transplant Foundation’s impactful contributions. This dedication is deeply rooted in Dr. Krantz’s personal experiences and his close friendship with Lester Crowell, the proprietor of Three-13 Salon, who has undergone two life-saving heart transplants. Life University student and Dr. Krantz’s daughter Samantha Krantz, sharing her thoughts on this remarkable achievement, stated, “The award highlights Dr. Krantz’s profound commitment to organ donation and acknowledges the impactful work of the Georgia Transplant Foundation.”

Dr. Krantz boasts an impressive professional background, holding the distinction of being a certified EMS instructor with a specialization in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and spinal trauma management. He earned his B.S. degree from the State University of New York and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University. Dr. Krantz has served as a senior professor and lecturer at Life University for over four decades, marking 46+ years of dedicated service. He also holds the distinguished title of Fellow within the International Chiropractic Association (F.I.C.A.) and carries Diplomate status in thermography and imaging. Notably, Dr. Krantz is an active member of the Georgia Board of Chiropractic Examiners, where he chairs the Investigative Committee for the state of Georgia. In addition to his academic contributions, he has maintained an active chiropractic practice in Marietta, Georgia since 1979.

Dr. Krantz’s outstanding achievements and commitment to promoting organ donation and patient well-being have made him a deserving recipient of the Halo Award from the Georgia Transplant Foundation.
