Faces of Life: Cedric Gaddy – Meet the New Chief Financial Officer who is Embracing Life U’s Mission
Starting on April 1 (April Fools’ Day) might seem like an unusual date to begin a significant new role, but for Cedric Gaddy, it marked the start of an exciting new chapter as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Life University. With a career that spans over two decades in finance and operations, Gaddy brings a wealth of experience from prestigious institutions, including Columbia University and Brooklyn Bridge Park, to Life University (Life U).
Faces of LIFE- Tabitha Copeland
Paulding County native Tabitha Copeland is a student advocate working for Life University (Life U) who has a distinct ability to understand the challenges Life U students face, given that she graduated not once, but twice from the institution. Graduating in 2014 with a B.S. in Psychology, Copeland sought out to serve those around her and help them understand the inner workings of their thought processes and patterns.
Faces of LIFE: Liberty Benitez
As a freshman student-athlete on the Life U Women’s Rugby team, Liberty Benitez felt that sense of closeness and camaraderie as she began her first collegiate season. During training, the new players began practicing a few weeks before returning players, so it helped give newbies time to work more closely with Head Coach Ryszard Chadwick while also getting the chance to learn from upperclassmen players as they headed into the 2023-2024 15s season.
Faces of LIFE: Dr. Mitch Ferguson
Meet Dr. Mitch Ferguson, an inspiring member of our Life University family. Dr. Ferguson has dedicated over 30 years to teaching psychology, and for the past 12 years, he’s been an integral part of Life U’s Division of Social Sciences.
Faces of LIFE: Coach Ryszard “Rys” Chadwick
Ryszard “Rys” Chadwick is the Head Coach of the Women’s Rugby Program at Life University. He joined Life U in August 2022 and has since been an influential figure in the program.
Faces of LIFE: Dr. Rebecca Lapham-Yaun
In 2006, Dr. Lapham-Yaun joined the ranks of the D.C. program at Life University (Life U) and graduated in 2010. During her time as a student, she worked as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) leader, a role since renamed PAL (Peer-Assisted Learning).
“I think that’s what kind of got me into teaching,” Dr. Lapham-Yaun noted.

“To prospective students, I urge you to seize every opportunity, step out of your comfort zone and embrace new experiences. Faces of LIFE: Kaylee Wilson Conlan
Becoming the valedictorian of her class at Life University (Life U) was never part of Kaylee Wilson Conlan’s initial plan.
“My journey in chiropractic education has been a blend of dedication, perseverance and a deep commitment to the field. As I reflect on my time at Life University, I realize that my achievements are a testament to the values instilled in me from a young age, the support of my mentors and peers, and the unique opportunities provided by Life U,” shared Wilson Conlan.
Faces of LIFE: Nidhi Ahuja, Ph.D.
Dr. Nidhi Ahuja grew up in Delhi, India’s capital city, where her parents continue to live. She came to the United States for her postdoctoral studies, conducting research at University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Ahuja has a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, a master’s in biotechnology and a doctorate in biotechnology.

Minnesota maven Sarah Allen makes an intriguing contribution to the College of Online Education with her communications expertise. She is an online instructor for Life University (Life U) in the Humanities Department, teaching Intercultural Communication.
