Week 1: Monday, July 14, 2025 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in Socrates Cafe

What better way to start the quarter than with an engaging tabling event with the amazing ALC Staff? This tabling event will comprehensively overview our services through the Academic Learning Center. We’ll demonstrate and discuss the functionalities of our department, guide you through the PAL sessions, explain how to schedule an appointment, introduce you to the student staff and their respective roles, introduce you to the ALC staff along with their respective roles, showcase how to leverage our tutoring services, and much more!

Syllabus Social: Plan, Prep, & Power Through

Week 1: Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in CGUS 220

Ready to take control of your quarter? Bring your syllabus to the Syllabus Social, and we’ll help you decode all the important info: think test dates, professor contacts and key deadlines. Then, we’ll team up to create a study plan so solid your procrastination won’t stand a chance! Plus, check out this added bonus: every attendee scores a free planner from the Academic Learning Center to keep your life (and your grades) organized and crushing it all quarter long! Think, Solve, Cite: AI Tools and APA Rules

Week 4: Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in CGUS 220

Join us for an informative session that equips you to succeed with integrity! Master the basics of clear writing and APA formatting while exploring how AI tools like ChatGPT, Grammarly and Bard fit into your academic toolkit, including their capabilities, limitations and ethical considerations. Week 6: Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in CGUS 220

This workshop will guide you through the key strategies and habits used to achieve academic excellence. Learn how to develop a personalized study plan, master time management, stay motivated and tackle challenges with confidence. Discover how small adjustments in your approach can lead to big results, helping you unlock your full potential and build your own winning formula for success.

The Final Countdown: Prepare, Perform, Succeed

Week 8: Wednesday, September 3 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in CGUS Lobby

In this tabling event, we will review the most effective strategies to help you tackle your finals with confidence and success.  Whether you’re fine-tuning your study plan or seeking last-minute tips, the ALC will ensure you’re equipped with the tools and mindset to pass your finals. Enjoy some refreshments and personalized assistance from our ALC staff.
